ABTA’s practical one-day event focuses on the crucial issue of attracting, nurturing and retaining future talent in the travel industry.
Universities, colleges, apprenticeship providers and employers from the travel industry will come together to look at ways to ensure the right training and workforce structures are in place.
Formerly ABTA’s Education Partners event, it has been updated, in response to your feedback, to reflect the importance of bringing together educational bodies and the wider travel industry.
The tourism and travel industry already plays a major role in Britain’s economy. Predicted to reach a value of over £257billion by 2025*, it continues to grow rapidly with no sign of slowing. The industry is also changing, disrupted by new technologies and market behaviours. It is crucial that the industry continues to develop resources and invest in people with the right skills to meet these new challenges.
Use the day to discuss employability and career opportunities going forward, compare expectations from both industry employers and graduates. Gain an overview of the main issues facing the travel industry now and in the future.
Moderator: Vicki Wolf, Education Partnerships Manager, ABTA
Additional speakers will be announced shortly.
This event is designed to bring together ABTA’s Education Partners, including Higher and Further Education institutions and employers from the travel industry, including:
