I’m considering taking my complaint to arbitration, how much compensation can I claim?

A claim for compensation can be made for up to, but not exceeding, £5,000 per person, provided the total amount doesn’t exceed £25,000.

ABTA advice
Don’t over-egg the claim – be realistic and fair about the amount you’re claiming. The chance of receiving a full refund plus the cost of the holiday is slim, both at arbitration and in court. The arbitrator or judge wants to see that both parties have acted reasonably in trying to resolve a claim prior to instigating proceedings.
