We have developed a number of help topics that will answer any questions you have regarding your holiday.
Your travel company’s booking conditions (terms and conditions) should contain specific details of what you’ll be offered in the event that your holiday arrangements have to be cancelled.
You’ll usually find the booking conditions in the company’s brochure, or on the back of your confirmation invoice.
If your travel company is an ABTA Member, then their booking conditions should reflect ABTA’s Code of Conduct.
Broadly, this states that the travel company should offer an alternative if available, or a refund. Additional compensation can be due if the cancellation occurs inside the balance due date, but not if the reason for cancellation is force majeure (for instance natural disaster, war).
