There are a series of funding schemes, initiatives and business support tools in operation by the Department for Business Innovation and Skills (BIS) that might be of interest to small and medium sized ABTA Member businesses.

    Initiatives include:

    • Broadband Vouchers – Small and medium sized businesses can get a Government grant of up to £3,000 to upgrade to a faster, more reliable internet connection. Businesses can apply for a superfast broadband grant now by visiting www.connectionvouchers.co.uk.
    • Growth Voucher Scheme – The scheme helps businesses to get advice, starting with a free diagnostic tool either online or face-to-face, to help identify what support is needed.  If support is offered, Government will pay half the cost of purchasing advice up to a maximum level of £2,000. Businesses can start the diagnostic process now by visiting https://www.gov.uk/apply-growth-vouchers
    • My Business Support – A new tool to the GREAT Business Website called My Business Support is designed to help small and medium sized businesses find the right support for their businesses – http://mybusinesssupport.greatbusiness.gov.uk.
