Future Travel Coalition seeks insight from member businesses to inform pre-election activity

The Future Travel Coalition (FTC) is seeking feedback from member businesses through its latest state of the industry survey.

With politicians more receptive to arguments and policy ideas backed by evidence from travel businesses, the FTC runs two surveys a year to gain up-to-date insight from travel and tourism companies.

The latest survey is looking to establish the outlook for bookings, understand any recruitment challenges and the status of debt taken on during the pandemic.

There are 14 associations that are part of the FTC. The survey is open to any travel business which is a member of one of the associations.

The survey takes just 10 minutes to complete and the deadline for responses is 10 May. The survey can be found here.

The latest findings will be used by the coalition partners to support ongoing engagement with government officials and politicians of all parties, including in the run up to the General Election.

Luke Petherbridge, Director of Public Affairs at ABTA – The Travel Association said:

“We’re delighted that the partners in the Future Travel Coalition continue to work together to advocate on behalf of the industry. Our bi-annual surveys play an incredibly important role in ensuring we have the evidence and data required to engage with officials and ministers.

“I would urge everyone to support the survey and to provide feedback on booking trends, as well as the latest conditions for recruitment and staffing.”
