This weekend is one of the busiest of the year for the travel industry with millions taking advantage of the four-day bank holiday to take an overseas or domestic break.

Historically we receive interest from the media looking to see where people are heading for their overseas breaks and an estimate of how many will be departing, which we are able to answer with invaluable feedback and input from members and airports.

This year’s numbers seem in line with last year, which is a very positive indication that people continue to value and prioritise their holidays, even given the ongoing pressure on household budgets.

As always, we will be supporting members over the weekend, checking for any issues that may affect their customers’ travel plans and informing members through our Operational Bulletins.
