As part of this year's balcony safety campaign with the Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO), we're renewing calls to Brits heading off on holiday to take care and use their balconies safely. Watch our video below, read our top tips and you can download our posters.

Top tips:

  • Never lean over, sit or climb on the balcony wall or railings
  • Don’t try to pass items to someone on another balcony
  • Don’t climb from one balcony to another
  • Never stand on balcony furniture
  • Never jump into the pool from your balcony
  • Take extra care on balconies after drinking alcohol as your judgement may be affected.

Booze and balconies don’t mix

This joint safety initiative highlights the need for vigilance in regard to using balconies in youth orientated resorts with the message “Booze and balconies don’t mix”. 


Balcony Safety for you and your children

This joint safety initiative a “Balcony safety for you and your children” poster contains important safety messages for those travelling with children.
